Heavy Equipment Operator

Iron Horse, a leading excavation company in the Mid-Michigan area, is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to work on road construction, site work, and utility projects. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of excavators, bulldozers, and front-end loaders.

Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner to complete excavation projects on time and within budget
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation
• Follow all safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe work environment
• Communicate effectively with project managers and other team members to ensure projects are completed to the highest standards
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating excavators, bulldozers, and front-end loaders
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Basic computer skills
